How to Teach Correctly So Kids Learn and Remember Forever
Teaching is not just about delivering content. It is about ensuring that students understand, engage with, and retain what they learn. Many students forget topics soon after exams because teaching often prioritizes memorization over understanding.

This blog discusses effective ways to teach so that learning becomes meaningful and long-lasting, and introduces three original teaching methods created by me.
Why Traditional Teaching Often Fails
In a traditional classroom, the teacher explains the topic while students listen quietly and copy notes. Interaction is minimal, and students are often afraid to ask questions or give wrong answers.
Beggar: i think Traditional Teaching Works
Beggar, WHY IN THE WORLD ARE YOU HERE?
Method 1: XP Knowledge (Created by Me)
XP Knowledge is a gamified learning system designed to increase participation and confidence.
How It Works:
-
Attendance earns 5 XP
-
A correct quiz answer earns 10 XP
-
A wrong answer earns 7 XP, to encourage effort and risk-taking
Rewarding attempts reduces fear of failure and encourages active participation. This aligns with the idea that growth comes from taking risks!

Okay so let me continue! - At the end of each month, the student with the highest XP becomes Teacher for a Day, helping explain concepts and guide discussions. At the start of the next month, XP resets, ensuring fairness and continuous motivation.
Method 2: PARTYTIME (Created by Me)
PARTYTIME focuses on making classes interactive and engaging without losing academic focus.
confetti: HI pARTYTIME MEANS FUN!
NO! this is different
In PARTYTIME classes:
-
Students are encouraged to ask questions
-
Discussions and explanations are interactive
-
Learning is enjoyable and energetic
When students enjoy the learning process, they are more likely to understand concepts deeply and remember them long-term.
Method 3: SELF TEACH (Created by Me)
SELF TEACH is a student-centered method that develops responsibility and mastery.
How It Works:
-
The class is divided into two groups
-
The topic is divided into smaller parts
-
Each student is assigned one part of the topic
-
Students learn their part independently
-
Students then teach their part to their group
After peer teaching, both a team exam and an individual exam are conducted. Teaching others requires clarity of understanding, making this method highly effective.

Classroom Comparison: Teaching Photosynthesis
Normal Class
The teacher explains photosynthesis while students listen and take notes. Interaction is limited, and understanding varies among students.
XP Knowledge Class
Students actively answer questions to earn XP. Both correct and incorrect attempts are encouraged, leading to high participation and confidence.
PARTYTIME Class
Students learn through interactive discussions and enjoyable activities, increasing engagement and understanding.
SELF TEACH Class
Students master one part of photosynthesis and then learn the full process through peer explanations, resulting in strong conceptual clarity.
Exam Comparison: One Student from Each Class
Question: Explain photosynthesis.
-
Normal Class Student: Writes a memorized definition with limited explanation
-
XP Knowledge Student: Explains the process clearly and confidently
-
PARTYTIME Student: Explains with examples and strong understanding
-
SELF TEACH Student: Explains logically, deeply, and accurately
Final Conclusion
Effective teaching prioritizes understanding over silence and participation over fear.
-
XP Knowledge builds confidence and encourages risk-taking
-
PARTYTIME builds interest and enjoyment
-
SELF TEACH builds responsibility and mastery
When students actively engage, attempt, and teach, learning becomes meaningful and long-lasting.
